The Artful Chocolatier-September 2014.

I love chocolate! Who doesn't? So when your partner sets up as a chocolatier and begins to create the most fantastic, delicious and amazingly creative chocolate range well what is a photographer to do?

The fact that her office and production centre is now right above the studio is of course nothing but an advantage! I have made myself available as official taster and opinion former and of course it is a pleasure to help in any small way that I can.
Nikki, or as she is now officially known Dr Nicola Donovan.Phd, is now creating the most incredible chocolate range.
It is early days but she has been attending a number of fairs and festivals to market test and has already received a great many plaudits.The chocolate range consists of lollies,buttons,bars and gift packs and is made from the finest Belgian chocolate.
After extensive tasting I can guarantee that they taste really delicious.
You can buy from the range at The Cook Shop,Whiteladies Rd,Clifton, Bristol on special open days there.

She can also be commissioned to produce individually made wedding favours, Christmas decorations, Birthday/Anniversary presents-in fact if you have an occasion why not commission something very special and personal for it?
Nikki is also creating corporate gifts for launches and other events.The amazing Le Cagnard Hotel in Haut Du Cagnes on the French Riviera now supplies her chocolates to their very exclusive guests,(think Robert DeNiro and Prince Albert of Monaco) and she will be providing gifts for the launch of the new Mini 5 door at Wellsway, Bath on 23rd October 2014.
Best of all we will be having an Opening Evening at the Studio on 6th November 2014 to introduce Studio Marko's clients to The Artful Chocolatier. We are also using the evening to welcome
Jo Bowden of Shiny Rubbie People, (shinyrubbiepeople.co.uk),(@shinyrubbie),(www.facebook.com/shinyrubbiepeople), to our studio.

Jo is sharing the space upstairs with Nikki and makes the most amazing cakes for weddings,birthdays and pretty much anything that you want to celebrate. I have of course also enlisted as official cake taster for Jo as well. Good job I don't put on weight!!
Studio Marko will also be offering special offers on our portrait ranges for Christmas and there is an extra special competition to win an amazing portrait prize. Further details and invites will be sent out in our studio e-letter and on Facebook.

Well its been a while since we have done a blog. The last year has been so busy and lots and lots of commissions have been and gone.
Its about time that we started catching up!

Kamigata /Vivienne Westwood Open Evening.   

28th August 2014

Without further ado Marko was at Kamigata in Cardiff to photograph their joint open evening with Vivienne Westwood at  The St David's Centre.
Lots and lots of Cardiff's glitterati and fashionistas turned up to try out their new treatments, drink a little bubbly and look at all the new Autumn season's Vivienne Westwood Collection.
A great night was had by all and here are some of the pictures from the event...

New Portraits.

It's been a while since we updated our blog!!
The studio has been very busy with lots of new work.
Marko has worked with everyone from Vivienne Westwood to The Bath Magazine to Bath Thermae Spa to two fantastic weddings.
We will be updating subsequent blogs with lots of new images from all of these shoots but we thought that initially we could put up some of our recent portraits taken in our fantastic studio.
We have also revamped the Studio's gallery and in May we will be launching a brand new range of portraits. Watch this space!!

It's always nice to deliver seminars for the SWPP at their Convention in January.
This year's convention was yet again a great success for them and as always is a great place to learn and to network with other photographers.
It was especially nice to have images taken at my lighting Super-class used in the latest Image Maker Magazine.

We all love photographing creatively. It's great to "shoot for show" but the reality of running a photographic business is that "shooting for dough" pays the mortgage.

Marko will show how he has successfully promoted his studio business and increased its profitability whilst also developing his portfolio, skills and experience.

He will illustrate how photographing fashion and editorial is not just a hobby but something that can be used to grow your main business.

Marko will explain in detail how to approach magazines, what they are looking for and how to deliver what they require.

He will also show how this can be a promotional springboard for the rest of your business creating increased awareness of your brand and resulting in an expansion of your contact and customer base.

Illustrated throughout with images from Marko's various shoots this will be a light-hearted but serious investigation of how to turn your dreams into pound signs.
Marko has recently been working for Vivienne Westwood amongst others so is in an ideal position to talk on both of these photographic areas.
